The future Ukrainian national goalkeeper Anatolii Trubin led Shakhtar to a very significant 1-0 away victory, which will help them a lot in the second leg on Wednesday. He had a very comfortable performance including 6 saves, with three coming from the shots inside the box. Roberto De Zerbi's Shakhtar got just a few chances vs Monaco in the first leg but scored the goal that will ensure they could have the same tactics, playing on the counterattacks in the rematch. He must be on his usual levels to give Monaco a boost in the second leg.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious.
