Leicester host AEK at the King Power Stadium (Leicester) in the final round of the Europa League group stage and the match kicks off at 8 pm (UK) on Thursday, December 10.
LEICESTER VS AEK MATCH ANALYSIS
After losing unexpectedly to Zorya Luhansk (1-0) last week, Leicester need to match Braga's result against Zorya to secure the top spot in Group G. As it is, they are still in pole position to progress as group winners as AEK Athens cannot qualify for the next round which will play in their favour. As for AEK, the Greek outfit aim to bounce back from a 4-2 loss to Braga, but seeing that they have nothing to play for in the King Power Stadium, apart to avenge for their defeat in Athens earlier in the campaign (2-1), any other outcome than the hosts’ win would come as a surprise.
The Foxes’ European campaign is their first appearance in the competition since season 2000/01. Brendon Rodgers showed that he takes the Europa League very seriously as he fielded the best possible eleven against whenever he could in this campaign. After three rounds, they had their 100% record intact, but then their legs got tired as they drew against Braga, and most recently, lost to the Ukrainian side.
Their hopes of sealing the top spot in Europa League Group G with a game to spare were dashed as Zorya grabbed a late winner on a freezing night in Zaporizhzhia. A win would have been all but enough for the Foxes, but they might now have to defeat AEK in their final match to ensure the top status. Meanwhile, the Foxes beat Sheffield United on Sunday in the Premier League to end a four-game winless run in all competitions, which will boost their morale ahead of Thursday.
AEK, on the other hand, is one of the aristocrats of Greek football with loads of domestic league and cup titles who won The Super League of Greece as recently as in 2017/18, ending 3rd last season. However, they have been below par in Europe this season and have lost all hopes after their 2-4 defeat at home against Braga in the previous round. Being bottom of the group G, it is mathematically impossible for AEK to continue in this competition, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see a few changes from the Greek side on Thursday. It is worth noting that Emanuel Insua is suspended for AEK for an accumulation of bookings.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city.
