Saturday derby in the Bundesliga will be at the Borussia Park where Mönchengladbach host leaders RB Leipzig.
Gladbach came within minutes of claiming victory against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday following Marcus Thuram’s brace. It followed a come-from-behind three points away at Mainz the last matchday in which Ginter scored a late winner from a corner to leave Marco Rose’s side sixth and unbeaten in six competitive outings since their 3-0 defeat at Borussia Dortmund on the opening weekend. Gladbach is unbeaten in their last five home matches in the Bundesliga, dating back to last season.
Newly capped Germany international Jonas Hofmann has been the surprise package of the campaign with four goals and five assists in eight appearances in all competitions and is now firmly established in the Borussia attack, although he only came off the bench at Mainz. Hofmann has been Gladbach's most potent attacking force this season with a hand in nine goals in seven games in all competitions (four goals, five assists) - one every 73 minutes.
Academy graduate Rocco Reitz was impressed on his first start for the club in that game, but the central midfielder will likely have to make way for regular duo Christoph Kramer and Florian Neuhaus.
Leipzig is the only Bundesliga team against whom Gladbach have failed to register a point on home soil (L4).

Sörloth's father, Göran, made five appearances for Gladbach during the 1988/89 campaign. Angelino, Emil Forsberg, and Poulsen are Leipzig’s top scorers in 2020/21, with two Bundesliga goals apiece.
