Juventus are without a win in the last two Serie A games while Spezia is two points clear of the relegation zone ahead of their meeting at the Dino Manuzzi on Sunday.
Spezia played a very good game but left the Stadio Tardini very frustrated, as they were leading 2-0, hit the woodwork three times, but was denied by a stoppage-time penalty vs Parma. Spezia had the better chances, Inter youth product Lucien Agoume thumping the upright on the counter-attack, then Gyasi came sliding in just a second too late to meet the Daniele Verde ball across the six-yard box. Incredibly, Spezia hit the frame of the goal for the third time when Verde’s scorcher bounced off the base of the upright with Sepe rooted to the spot. Deep into stoppages, Parma was awarded a soft penalty for a Claudio Terzi challenge on Andreas Cornelius. Juraj Kucka converted to snatch a point for the hosts.
Riccardo Marchizza and Giulio Maggiore have recovered from Covid but Vincenzo Italiano has seven injured players on the sidelines plus Martin Erlic who is positive for Coronavirus.
