Swansea host Man City at the Liberty Stadium (Swansea) in the fifth-round tie of the FA Cup and the match kicks off at 5.30 pm (UK) on Wednesday, February 10.
SWANSEA VS MAN CITY MATCH ANALYSIS
Steve Cooper’s men are flying high in the Championship and took down leaders Norwich 2-0 in the previous Championship round, to go two points off the top. The Swans are sitting one point outside the Championship automatic promotion spots thanks to a run of six wins and two draws in their last eight league outings. Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola’s side enter this match at the Liberty Stadium unbeaten in 21 games across all competitions and in a confident mood following their 4-1 Premier League win at Liverpool on Sunday. The Citizens will be eyeing to keep their quest for an unprecedented quadruple alive when they travel to Wales for a place in the FA Cup quarter-finals.
Swansea have done brilliantly under Steve Cooper in his first managerial job despite limited resources and a small squad. They are where they want to be – in the promotion race. The Welsh team have lost only four matches since a defeat in the last season's play-offs, which is impressive in its own right. It was a similar tale when Man City last faced Swansea in the FA Cup, in fact, as the Citizens were a goal down with 12 minutes to go at the Liberty Stadium, before netting a couple of late goals in a 3-2 win.
Man City, on the other hand, went on to win the FA Cup that season and that will be the aim again this time around, while Champions League, Carabao Cup - where they have reached finals and are playing Tottenham in April) – and, of course, the PL title is still on cards. Guardiola's men were as low as 15th at one stage in the campaign, yet they now find themselves with the title race effectively in their hands and plenty more to play for.

This is a competition Guardiola has clearly taken to, having won 18 of his 21 ties. Since the Catalan coach’s first season in England, City have scored more FA Cup goals than any other side (65) and are unsurprisingly the strong favorites to go on and win the FA Cup for the seventh time in their history.
Still, this is a competition that has built a reputation down the years for providing big upsets. Swansea, who have reached the quarter-finals in two of the last three seasons, will be looking to add their name to that list with victory on Wednesday.
